About this artwork
There is nothing in my heart but peace for you. Follow the birds — they will carry you to the clouds.
Peace is not a declaration. It is a daily act — with oneself, with those around us, with the entire cosmos. The world is full of voices speaking of peace, yet only a few truly live it.
The dervish knows this. His turning is not performance — it is practice. With every revolution he renews his covenant: to be peace before he speaks it, to embody it before he offers it. He follows the birds not as an escape, but as an ascent — rising above the noise of the world into the quiet where peace is not sought, but simply is.
In a world that has learned to pronounce peace, he has learned to breathe it.
About the Artist
Badie Jahjah (b. 1973, Jableh, Syria) is a visual artist and graphic designer whose practice bridges spiritual philosophy and visual communication. He holds a BA in Fine Arts, Visual Communication and Advertising from Damascus University
and brings more than two decades of experience in branding and identity design, developing over 200 logos across public and private sectors
Deeply influenced by the mystical teachings of Shams al-Tabrizi and Jalal al-Din Rumi, Jahjah’s artistic research centers on dervish iconography, sacred letters, and symbolic systems as vehicles of spiritual inquiry. War marked a turning point in his practice, awakening what he describes as “the dervish within”
