About this artwork

This work explores the human figure as a layered emotional space rather than a fixed form. Figures merge and dissolve into one another, suggesting continuity of memory and shared inner states rather than individual identities.
The composition flows vertically through overlapping bodies, creating a sense of quiet accumulation. A restrained palette of muted blues and greys establishes a contemplative atmosphere, while a deep red introduces a subtle emotional intensity within the scene.
Soft edges and controlled brushwork enhance the tension between presence and disappearance, allowing the painting to exist not as a narrative, but as a condition—where the body becomes a vessel for emotion, time, and memory.

About the Artist

Salam Ahmad

Salam Ahmad, trained in Fine Arts in Syria, works through painting as an intimate, emotional language. Her compositions emerge from quiet inner spaces, where feelings take form before they are spoken. The body dissolves into sensation, and color, especially grey, becomes a field of reflection, suspended between presence and absence, fullness and emptiness.
