About this artwork

Here, the horse is not depicted—it is unleashed.
The form curves forward in a powerful arc, as if caught between restraint and release. There is no ground beneath it, no landscape—only motion, suspended. The anatomy dissolves into gesture, where strength becomes rhythm and muscle becomes line.
The head leans downward, almost in surrender, while the body surges forward—creating a tension between force and submission. It feels like a moment just before impact… or just after breaking free.
under spotlight, the sculpture becomes almost theatrical—like a performer frozen mid-act. Shadow completes the work, extending its movement beyond the material itself.
This is not a horse of the field.
It is a horse of emotion—
of power contained, and power becoming.

About the Artist

Eyad Al Belal

Eyad Albelal, a sculptor educated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus, approaches the human figure through material. In this exhibition, his works are primarily realized in polyester, shaped through a process of reduction that strips form to its essence. His figures exist between stillness and movement, carrying both weight and fragility, where form becomes a state of being rather than a fixed structure.
