About this artwork

In “The Exceptionals III,” Shartouh composes a powerful scene where a row of elongated figures stand beneath a form that is both cloud and tree — a symbol suspended between heaven and earth. This dual shape, soft like mist yet rooted like memory, becomes a sheltering presence, suggesting protection, continuity, and the quiet strength that binds a community together.
The figures, sculpted in textured earthy tones, rise like ancient guardians, their stance steady and dignified. The muted palette and layered surfaces give the painting a timeless, almost archaeological resonance, making it a statement piece for refined interiors that appreciate symbolism, depth, and emotional gravitas.
For collectors: A rare work where form, meaning, and mystery grow from the same root, exceptional in every sense.
