About this artwork

A face dissolves into fragments of color, amber, coral, and smoke, its features slipping between presence and absence. The gaze, turned upward, holds on to light even as the edges blur, as though memory itself were evaporating into air. Fading captures the fragile threshold between holding on and letting go.

Hanaa Khaled paints disappearance as a form of revelation. By layering textured pigments and smudging contours, she gives form to the quiet erosion of identity and time. Fading confronts the impermanence of selfhood, asking what remains when memory begins to vanish.

Fading is an intimate reminder that beauty often resides in what slips away. A poignant addition to any collection, it preserves the essence of transience in a single glance.
