Saoud Abdallah (b. 1976, Syria) is a contemporary artist based in Amman, Jordan. He graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Damascus University in 2005, where he later taught drawing for six years. Since then, his work has been exhibited across the Middle East, Europe, and beyond, with solo shows in Beirut, Amman, and Hong Kong, as well as participation in international art fairs in Paris, London, Dubai, and Cairo. His practice is rooted in the distinctive use of natural sands gathered from different regions of Syria. Layered with glue and applied directly onto canvas, the sand becomes both surface and substance, raw and rigid yet capable of delicate expression. Through curved lines and minimal forms.
