Ahmad Moualla transforms an intimate scene of gathering into a meditation on human connection, ritual, and quiet observation. Rendered in expressive black lines across a fragile, tactile paper surface, the clustered figures seem caught between conversation and contemplation, while the solitary dog introduces an unexpected note of stillness and watchfulness. Irregular edges, openings, and the physical vulnerability of the paper resist the formality of the composition, allowing absence and negative space to become part of the image itself.
