Ahmad Moualla transforms the human gathering into a charged psychological theatre, where a solitary elevated figure is surrounded by dense groups that blur individuality into a collective presence. Through raw, distressed paper, irregular edges and expressive black gestures, the work carries a sense of fragility and history while exploring tensions between power and vulnerability, belonging and isolation, the individual and the collective. Intimate in scale yet commanding in presence, the composition resists a fixed narrative, allowing its meaning to shift with each encounter.
