About this artwork

In this fragmented composition, the human face is no longer singular—it unfolds into multiplicity. Layers of identity rest against one another, not in harmony, but in tension… as if each face carries a different truth, a different memory.
The sculpted surfaces, marked with textured lines and crowned with subtle ornamental detail, suggest the passage of time—histories etched into the self. These are not masks to conceal, but fragments to reveal: who we were, who we are, and who we are becoming.
There is an intimacy in the way the faces lean into one another—almost collapsing, almost merging—blurring the boundary between individuality and collective existence. Strength and vulnerability coexist here, held together in a delicate equilibrium.
Bathed in light, the work becomes theatrical… each shadow deepening the sense of inner dialogue. It is not a portrait, but a condition.
A reminder, perhaps—
that we are never one.
We are many… and we are always in conversation with ourselves.

About the Artist

Eyad Al Belal

Eyad Albelal, a sculptor educated at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Damascus, approaches the human figure through material. In this exhibition, his works are primarily realized in polyester, shaped through a process of reduction that strips form to its essence. His figures exist between stillness and movement, carrying both weight and fragility, where form becomes a state of being rather than a fixed structure.
