About this artwork

A lyrical swirl of figures and instruments, where village music rises like dust in golden air.
Painted in Nawar’s expressive, semi-abstract style, shaped by movement, rhythm, and soft tonal layering.
Its warm ochres and fluid forms bring harmony to modern, rustic-chic, earth-toned, and Mediterranean interiors.
A piece that sings of heritage while remaining resolutely contemporary.
For collectors: a soulful work from a rising Syrian talent whose storytelling grows ever more valuable.

About the Artist

Nawar Shartouh

Nawar Shartouh is a Syrian painter and printmaker based in Dubai. He graduated from the University of Damascus, where his foundation in printmaking shaped his precise, layered, and intentional approach to image-making.
Since establishing his studio in Dubai in 2021, his work has evolved within a contemporary curatorial context while retaining a quiet dialogue with Damascus, often guided by motifs such as jasmine and collective interior states expressed with tonal restraint.
He has presented his work in Cyprus and across the Middle East, including solo and group exhibitions in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, and Syria.
