About this artwork
A single balloon clings gently to the wall, its string trailing downward as if weightless. What should drift away instead stays — a captured moment of childhood joy, turned into a lasting sculpture.
In her Baboom Creation series, Lea Khoshtikian transforms balloons — symbols of celebration and ephemerality — into permanent objects. By fixing them to the wall, she challenges the idea of impermanence, preserving joy and memory in sculptural form.
Owning the Hanging Balloon means bringing into your space a playful illusion — art that blurs between object and memory. Each balloon is unique, hand-formed and individually glazed, and can be collected alone or combined with other balloons from the same family to create an installation of floating wonder.

About the Artist
Lea Khoustekian is a Canadian–Lebanese ceramic and mixed‑media artist based in Dubai. Originally from Canada, she founded Baboom Creations, blending playful and elegant forms like hanging balloons and deflated balloon sculptures crafted from ceramics and other materials .
Lea’s work has featured in prestigious venues such as the Al Jalila Cultural Centre during the Sikka Art & Design Festival.
